Radiant Website Presence and Digital Ecosystem
Creating a digital ecosystem that opens doors and offers pathways to attract the right people into your work.
Your website is not only a place where you invite visitors to engage with your offerings, but, more importantly, where people enter your world through what your visuals and words emanate and reflect.
When it comes to building a website, everything comes together like a jigsaw puzzle, creating a complete picture of what you are about in all its parts, without losing sight of the bigger picture. And you want this picture to speak of beauty, to feel inviting and harmonious, so that people share their attention with your website generously.
I can support you…
And build the website you’re looking for, but even more so, take you by the hand to get all the materials in place that make up your website - from pictures, branding and copywriting to everything else that brings it all together.
So, let’s first find out what your starting point is, tailor the process accordingly, and then walk you through the streamlined process of bringing everything together in the actual website build.
Three pathways into website building
-
You already have clarity around your brand, including your vision, mission, target audience, offerings and visual identity, such as colours, typography and imagery. We can move straight into planning your website.
-
You have already done some work on your brand, but certain aspects still need clarification or development. We begin by assessing what you already have and identifying what is missing. I then offer tailored consultancy, guidance and practical materials to help you fill the gaps, charged at £35 per hour, prior to the actual website building package.
-
You know you want a website but haven't yet clarified your brand, offerings or how best to communicate them. I recommend starting with my Essence & Brand Foundations package. If you would also like to develop your own imagery, we can work together through my Creative Photography package, or curate suitable stock photography.
The website-building process
-
After I have received the preparatory materials, we meet to develop a skeleton for your website, deciding on its general structure, how many pages you need and what content belongs where. Together, we establish how best to communicate your work and guide visitors through your website.
-
Once we have agreed on the structure and content allocation, you provide the content for your website, including descriptions of your offerings, your About page and any other pages we outlined.
Once I have received your content, I can offer a review and some polishing to refine the wording, improve the flow and ensure that your message comes across clearly. This service is optional and charged at £35 per hour. While I am not a professional copywriter, I can offer guidance based on my experience in communications, branding and digital content.
-
Once the content has been reviewed and I have received your branding materials and imagery, I build your website within an agreed timeline.
I build websites using Squarespace. I also have experience building and managing my own website (www.carolinwaldmann.com) on Podia. Podia offers a more integrated digital ecosystem (CRM - Customer Relationship Management system), bringing together websites, email marketing, online courses and memberships, while offering less design freedom. If you are looking for a more comprehensive setup, I am happy to discuss your needs and explore whether Podia might be more suitable.
Throughout the building process, we stay in touch to ensure that we are aligned and that the website is taking shape in a way that feels true to your style and vision.
-
Once the website is ready, you have the opportunity to request up to five final tweaks before launch. These cover small refinements rather than additional pages, new features or substantial redesigns.
-
Coming soon.
Whichever pathway you arrive through, we follow the same general process once the necessary preparation is in place.
What else is included?
3 Practical handouts - Step-by-step guidance to support you with writing your website content, from introducing yourself and your work to presenting your offerings clearly.
On-page SEO best practices - Each page is structured with search engine optimisation in mind, helping search engines understand your content and making your website easier to discover.
Mobile-friendly design - Your website is designed to work well and feel inviting across desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
Pre-launch review - Before your website goes live, we check links, buttons, contact forms, mobile layouts and overall consistency to ensure everything works as it should.
Up to 5 final refinements - Space to make small adjustments and bring the finishing touches together before launch. This excludes new pages, substantial new features or redesigns.
A launch checklist - A practical checklist to guide you through the final steps, including connecting your domain, checking your contact details and reviewing your website settings.
A 45-minute Zoom handover session - A personal walkthrough to help you feel comfortable managing and updating your website independently.
10 days of post-launch email support - A space to ask questions and receive guidance as you begin using your new website. This covers questions about managing your site and using the handover resources, rather than new pages, redesigns or substantial additional work.
You already have a website, but would like a strategic and aesthetic pair of eyes to review it?
Website Clarity and Refinement Package
This package is an opportunity to step back and look at your website through fresh eyes - exploring how clearly it communicates who you are, what you offer and the experience you want to create for your clients.
I’ll take time to explore your website before we meet, looking at both the bigger picture and the tiniest details: the structure, messaging, visual communication, customer journey and overall feeling of the site.
Rather than simply telling you what I think you should change, I’ll share the thinking behind my suggestions - what your website is currently communicating, how it might be experienced by someone discovering your work for the first time, and where there may be opportunities to bring your vision into clearer expression.
-
I’ll spend around 60-90 minutes exploring and analysing your website and gathering personalised suggestions and ideas.
-
We’ll meet online or in-person to go through my observations together, discuss possible changes and explore any questions or ideas that arise.
-
After our session, I’ll take some time to gather any additional thoughts that came up during our conversation and send them through to you in writing, alongside my initial website analysis in a multi-page document.
“Carolin combines emotional insight, commercial awareness and a real instinct for design that feels deeply thoughtful and transformative. After a session with her I had a completely different perspective on my website and how to present my business online. She guided me through all the reasons why her proposed changes mattered and what these things said about me and my business, from the macro level to the tiniest details. Carolin has a compassionate eye for seeing everything through my customers’ eyes while gently showing me what I can't see for myself.”

Frequently Asked Questions
-
I primarily work with Squarespace, as it offers a great deal of design freedom, competitive pricing and a well-established, reliable platform for creating beautiful, professional websites.
I also have experience with Podia, which I use for my own creative work at www.carolinwaldmann.com. Podia brings together a website builder and a range of tools for running your online business, including digital products, online courses, memberships, email marketing and customer management.
If you’re looking for a more comprehensive digital set-up, particularly if you want to offer courses, memberships or digital products alongside your existing work, I’d be happy to explore whether Podia might be the right fit for you.
-
Depending on how much notice I have before the build, I can create your website in 1-2 weeks, depending on the scale of the project. However, it depends more so on whether the content is ready to go, which in turn depends on your availability and ability to prepare your website materials (under my guidance, if you choose to do so).
-
Yes, I offer a 45-minute handover session to walk you through the website, show you the essentials and explain how you can manage it yourself. If you get stuck within the first 10 days after launch, I also offer email support during this time.
And in the future, I’m always happy to help with edits or bigger redesigns as needed, as your work evolves and your website changes and grows with it.
-
Yes, absolutely! I actually think this is a really sensible approach. As our website is a reflection of our own journey, it makes sense to start with the essentials and build a foundation that can grow and expand over time. When envisioning your website, I also like to consider where your work might take you in the future and what could be helpful to put in place from the beginning, so that your website can evolve and grow alongside you.
-
Prior to any redesign, I recommend my “Website Clarity & Refinement” package, which looks at this from a strategic angle before moving into the actual implementation of the redesign. If you would like to delegate the implementation process to me, I’d be happy to explore how I can support you with this!
It also depends on which website builder your site is built on. If it’s Squarespace or Podia, absolutely! I’d be happy to explore this with you. If it’s another platform I’m less familiar with, I’d rather refer you to one of my local colleagues who has the right experience to support you.
-
It starts with an assessment of where you are in your website-building process, followed by exploring the three pathways outlined above. The preparation before the actual build is often the main part of the work, as it helps ensure everything is ready to be brought into the web design.
I offer different ways to support you in getting all your preparation materials ready before the build, tailored to your needs. You might benefit from one of my branding packages first, or you may already be good to go, in which case we can move straight into the website-building process.
As outlined above, we start with an initial assessment, move into creating a website sketch and refining the content, then bring everything together in the build before a final review.
-
Since 2019, I have worked in organisations and events, and throughout this time, I have always been involved in website updates, initial design and building web pages. Over the past few years, I have also built my own websites and helped clients with strategic input or supported them in getting all their materials ready for the build.
I am not a highly trained website builder who codes and builds complex website systems, but I have developed a lot of experience with commonly used website builders. In particular, what I bring to the process is my strategic thinking and empathetic way of envisioning the customer journey ahead, alongside my background in graphic design and photography to create beautiful websites rich in visual storytelling. Ultimately, the visuals are often what people notice first when they arrive on your website, even before they engage with the words.
If you are looking for a sophisticated digital ecosystem with bespoke coding and complex integrations, I would rather refer you to one of my local colleagues. However, if you are looking for a website that is both functional and beautiful, I can offer a unique, supportive journey from start to finish.
I have often witnessed a missing link between website design and the preparation of the content. This is what I am here for: to bridge that gap and bring everything together beyond the actual website build.
